A Few of My Favorite Things...

Raindrops on Roses, Whiskers on Kittens...
Among other things.
This is a place where I will post links, pics, etc. featuring things that I want to share, such as fashion, products, food, etc.

1. Keep Calm and Carry On

I have this poster in my bedroom. This is definitely one of my favorite things. I've always been a bit of an Anglophile, but when I came across this, I was obsessed. I just love the story behind it and it's message. The "Keep Calm and Carry On" poster was part of a series of posters released in Great Britain to keep spirits high during World War II. It was rediscovered and re-released in the early 2000's. Now you can find it on just about anything. If you're going to purchase something with the slogan on it, make sure it's red. That's the legit, original version. http://www.bbcamerica.com/ has a great collection of products under their SHOP page, but you can find this everywhere.

2. Kindle

I've heard all the arguments... and made many of them myself. However, since purchasing one with my birthday money last December, I have been fully converted to a kindle fanatic. The books are cheaper, the classics are FREE, it's teeny and thin and can hold thousands of books, you get "instant gratification" by simply clicking and purchasing a book whenever it strikes your fancy, the download process is super fast, YOU'RE SAVING TREES, and you can look up words in the dictionary without even leaving your page. What's not to love? I do remember my biggest thing being "I like the feeling of having a real book." Let me tell you, you get the same feeling. Trust me. Now, instead of taking pride in your bookshelf, you can take pride in your Kindle collection, which you can take with you to show off anywhere.

3. ModCloth

You may have seen this website in an advertisement on the web and thought "never! spam!" Well, let me tell you, this is a LOVELY online boutique. They have the cutest dresses, tops, bottoms, shoes, coats, furniture, accessories... pretty much anything you could ever want. My favorite part about this site is that there's a nice price range. I can get my nice $35 dresses, and others can buy their more expensive pieces of clothing. There's also a nifty range of styles. Anyone can find something they like on this site. I highly suggest it. The dress pictured above is something I'm personally saving up for. I love it!
